About this guide
The Board of an APRA-regulated entity is ultimately responsible for all aspects of governance, oversight and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This guide consolidates specific requirements and guidance for private health insurer boards from APRA’s prudential standards and prudential practice guides (PPGs). It does not introduce new requirements or guidance and excludes obligations that come from primary legislation.
See the Prudential Handbook for the full suite of prudential standards and guidance applicable to private health insurers.
